Consultants for Children - Our mission is to provide the best possible treatment plan for children diagnosed with Autism and/or other developmental disabilities by providing comprehensive consulting services to both parents and schools. We developed this company in order to educate parents and schools to work effectively with these children, keeping the child's best interest in mind. We strive to put the needs of the individual child and their families first, rather than any particular teaching method or philosophy. With our experience and extensive knowledge of this field and the variety of treatment options available, we believe we can not only help these children progress, but give hope back to their families.

Emmanus Outerwear began in Longmont, Colorado in late 2010 with a mother of two autistic children. Upon noticing that the weighted vests that calmed her sons brought further unwanted stares when in public, she sought to design a weighted/compression vest that would look like something any other person she would run into in public would be wearing. Out of this desire, Emmaus Outerwear was born. Named for one of her autistic sons, Emmaus Outerwear employs a complex inner support design that supplies not only a weighted vest with various weight options, but also a perforated neoprene inner shell for additional compression support. It does all this while looking great and not warranting any unwanted attention. All vests are handmade in the U.S.A. and are made with the highest quality of materials. They can be made in all sizes ranging from young children to adults.

QUICK FACTS
The US Autism & Asperger Association 5th Annual World Conference, held October 1-3, 2010, became the most viewed Autism/Asperger conference in the world. This was the first ever Autism and Asperger conference streamed lived in its entirety.

"In the fall of 2011, the greatest gift we received yet was attending the four-day USAAA conference in Seattle. There I met my heroes and found mentors that gave me hope and expanded my paradigm. Since the conference, we now approach life and our son from the view of acceptance, help him to see and know himself, teach him how to self advocate, and join with him in enjoying the things that make him smile. We no longer fight against our son’s differences but embrace them and this way of loving has even taught us to how better accept and love each other as a couple. We still have a long way to go and even more to learn, but I now know that hope has no limit unless I place it there.
- Sara McCarter, Mom to Magnus "the great"
